I am profoundly uncomfortable with almost everything about my physical appearance these days, in no small part because of the effects of the last six months of orthodontics on my voice and face, but I made a crown of flowers for the solstice this evening at the Harvard Museum of Natural History and I am proud of it, so here it is. I'm wearing it.

There are daisies in there, and ivy, and some other climbing plant, and green and yellow ribbons which may or may not be visible. I cannot ever remember making a garland before and assumed I would be bad at it. It was by far not the shabbiest example wandering around the museum. It is now hanging on the nail on
derspatchel's office door, because my office door doesn't have a nail. I'm hoping it will dry and turn into a keepsake. We may not have the right weather for it. I wore it all night until I came home.
