A pair of public service announcements:
I will be out of internet communication for most of the weekend, because I am accompanying![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif) derspatchel to his high school reunion in western Massachusetts tomorrow starting at exhaustion o'clock in the morning and I am a little unsure as to how my Sunday is going to work, except that it will involve traveling even earlier.

I will be out of internet communication for an indefinite period after that, because for all practical purposes my laptop is dead. I believe fervently in the resurrection of Bertie Owen, but I don't believe in it any time soon, and it might involve him being a dybbuk in another machine's hardware. This is an actual catastrophe, I am extremely unhappy, please do not offer electronic hugs; I appreciate the sentiment, but I can't do anything with them. It does not help that I was in the middle of the last scene of a new story and about to start a proofreading project I'd enjoy.
I am tired of things breaking.
