It's snowing heavily and quietly, which is somehow appropriate. We had a white Christmas and then it turned to dry ice. The year should be able to leave masked.
Of course, because it has been that kind of year, I forgot two of the neatest (and prose) additions to my bibliography:
"Last Drink Bird Head" in Last Drink Bird Head ed. Ann and Jeff VanderMeer, November 2009.
"Stone Song" in Sky Whales and Other Wonders ed. Vera Nazarian, December 2009.
And if reprints count:
"Postscripts from the Red Sea" from Papaveria Press, May 2009.
"The Depth Oracle" (as "Orákulum hlubin," trans. Jana Rečková) in Trochu divné kusy 3 ed. Martin Šust, September 2009.
I have no resolutions for 2010. May it be better than 2009. No one is ever owed anything by the universe, but it would make a pleasant change.
