I picked up my copy of The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror: Eighteenth Annual Collection from Barnes & Noble today. I looked through the Honorable Mentions. And I am very happy.

"Another Coming" (Not One of Us #32)
"Apocalypso" (Mythic Delirium #10)
"An Eclipse of Raven" (Dreams and Nightmares #68)
"Expiration" (Vestal Review #16)
"Festivities" (Lunatic Chameleon #3)
"The Laying-Out" (Mythic Delirium #11)
"Lilim, After Dark" (Mythic Delirium #10)
"Retrospective" (Not One of Us #31)
"Sekhmet in the Ruins" (Lunatic Chameleon #4)
"Tzaddik" (Mythic Delirium #11)

Also, there's Ellen Datlow's remarks on Not One of Us in her summation of horror in 2004:

Not One of Us, edited by John Benson, brought out two good issues in '04. Not all the stories are dark but they're at the very least strange, and most of them are well worth reading. Some of the best are by Sonya Taaffe, Mark Steensland, Danny Adams, Marc Lecard, and Patricia Russo. Also, Subnatural, Benson's annual one-off, had good mixed-genre work.

Cool.

And now I disappear to read stories.
