Put me up on the angel's shoulders
Strange Horizons has been nominated for a Hugo Award.
In its first year of eligibility. Congratulations to everyone involved with the magazine—I can't see myself in San Antonio in August, but I really hope someone I know will be there to accept on our collective behalf!
And even if not, this is news that has been warming me for a week. Between the poetry and the short mythic fiction, it was always my assumption that I was out of the running for the Hugos. It never occurred to me that I could be nominated for editing. I'll take it.
(This following on a day which contained significant stressors, but also an afternoon with

I expect some of the other editors will be going. Jed was in Reno and Brit was in Chicago, so it seems plausible.
Great! I just don't have the funds to travel to Texas this year. (And honestly, if I had the funds, I would want to travel somewhere else.)
(I think there should be a Hugo for poetry.)
