I have found myself with two things to share which have nothing to do with one another, but a third doesn't exactly make a genre in this case.

1. Signal-boosting for [personal profile] rachelmanija: a call for help with the disaster of a disaster response in Crestline, CA. Please read and share widely. Were it only the nine feet of snow and the ten-foot ice berms and the grocery whose roof fell in, the situation would be bad, but it's 2023; there's more. In terms of requesting the federal government to declare a federal disaster, [personal profile] swan_tower suggests the direct contact form. I pinged my relatives in California whom the governor's office might actually care about listening to.

2. Channel Zero at the Somerville Theatre will be showing Edgar G. Ulmer's Murder Is My Beat (1955) at the end of this month, which charms me because when I saw it in December it had the air of a film with exactly that sort of maudit fandom. I promised the organizer I would tell my friends.

It is beautifully sunny outside and most of the snow has melted and since we're still in New England as far as I know, I don't like it.
