Everything is really very bad, but I got tired of not having a traveling robe since the demise of the artificial silk wrapper of blessed memory. As I wrote to
selkie last night: look, it's not a banyan, but the attempt was made.

P.S. I saw that Jean-Louis Trintingant has died. I noticed him with Costa-Gavras' Z (1969) and I watched Bertolucci's The Conformist (1970) primarily because he was in it, but I was introduced to him with Jeunet and Caro's The City of Lost Children (1995) and some part of me may always think of him first as a cranky, migraine-prone, disembodied brain in a tank, with an Alka-Seltzer effervescing away at the bottom of it for the migraine. Who can't relate?
