Tonight I missed a professional Zoom function whose initial invitation never reached me (I checked all my folders) and whose reminder arrived in my e-mail well after the event had ended.
spatch has assured me that this is technology being stupid and not my fault, but all of the parts of my brain that light up at failure have gone into catastrophizing overdrive. I do not appreciate this situation. Plus, although it was more like a confirmation than a surprise, I have just been informed that Mission of Burma have officially called it quits.
At least most of the day was quiet. It was too hot for the cats to curl up with me, but Autolycus spent much of the afternoon napping nearby.
yhlee sent me a literary, oceanic care package which will enable me to experiment with watercolors with names like "Sea Glass" and
skygiants successfully sold me on watching Crash Landing on You (사랑의 불시착, 2019) when I haven't been able to focus on movies all month and
rydra_wong pointed me toward this T-shirt which I have bought, thus sending funds to the Okra Project and giving me something else nice to wear. And I enjoy having a friend who is a journalist who gets to write articles with titles like "If fish is brain food, does that mean coastal seagulls are smarter?"
Not least, this art is pretty hot.
