I am honored to announce that my short story "ζῆ καὶ βασιλεύει" has been accepted for reprint by the charitable anthology Horror for RAICES, edited by Jennifer Wilson and Robert S. Wilson (Nightscape Press). The table of contents is a knockout—Ramsey Campbell, Livia Llewellyn, Laird Barron, Elizabeth Hand, Paul Tremblay, Gwendolyn Kiste, Jeffrey Thomas, Christopher Ropes, S.P. Miskowski, Billy Martin, Brookelynne Warra, Farah Rose Smith, Usman Malik, Nadia Bulkin, Jayaprakash Satyamurthy, Fiona Maeve Geist, S.L. Edwards, and Thomas Ligotti, to name only a few. A contribution of $10 or more toward the fundraiser nets you an e-ARC imminently.
My story was originally published in 2015 in Ideomancer Speculative Fiction. The title means s/he lives and reigns; it is the answer traditionally given to the siren Thessalonike when she rises from the sea and asks ποῦ εἴναι ὁ Μεγαλέξανδρος—Where is Alexander the Great? It is queer classical alternate history. Non-assimilated names are important.
All net proceeds from the book will be donated to RAICES. It is terrible that this project has to exist and I am so glad to be able to contribute toward it.
