Indeed, I have a sinus infection. I attended this afternoon's sectional but noped out before the rehearsal in favor of collapsing briefly and and making dinner with
spatch before we head out for
choco_frosh's birthday observed. Yesterday was spent chiefly in honeycake delivery and niece-care. Tomorrow I go apple-picking. Then maybe I stay in bed. My birthday falls again on Yom Kippur this year.
The Vilna Shul in Boston is being restored; the restoration yielded a palimpsest of folk art. I didn't know that the doors of their ark are inlaid with seashells. I'll have to visit.
On the train home I saw a young man who reminded me very much of my brother, with a small child curled up meowing on his lap. My niece seemed nonplussed the last time I made cat noises at her, although I have been doing it her entire life; she said sternly, "You're a person!" My mother interceded diplomatically, "She's kind of a both-ways cat-and-person."
