Today is my father's sixtieth birthday. We are taking him to Emmanuel Music's La clemenza di Tito in the evening and the first MIT Swapfest of the season tomorrow. His youngest brother is visiting from Macedonia [edit: southern Italy; he works for the military and is stationed all over the place] just for the weekend.
1952, he never tired of reminding me and my brother, was the year with the highest recorded incidence of flying saucer sightings in America. So when they said we weren't like the other kids at school . . .
I am off to spend the day with my alien family. I'll let you know if there are flybys.
