If you feel like a patient, why not dress like one?
Today I was inside two doctor's offices, one municipal department, one supermarket, and two extraneous stores, therefore since about five-thirty in the evening have been toast. I did capitalism and stared at cheap noir. I was delighted to hear of the ninety-sixth birthday of Tom Lehrer and reassured that we did not have to do Jell-O shots to celebrate. Have a flowering tree.

I had no idea that volcanoes blew smoke rings.

Heh, what would Dressing Like a Patient entail?

I suspect it would not be very different from my ordinary clothes, but the song's narrator fantasizes about being a mineral deposit, a ball of mica inside a rock. My father has always said that in his next life he'd like to be a rock.

A glittery mineral deposit. That sounds lovely.
In my next life ... I can't decide between a dancer and something that flies.

Probably other characters are famous for blowing smoke rings too and I am just forgetting about them.

Headcanon accepted.

Gandalf's are famous in more than one world, though. And there is something very appealing about the notion of a benignly smoking volcano after all the tsuris with Mount Doom.

Thank you! All of it was useful, I am just still mostly toast today.

Quite remarkable.

I love that Etna's known for doing it. I really hadn't known.

Beautiful blossoms, and I'm pretty sure we got invaded by Mysterons, what with those Etna smoke rings :P

I hope this doesn't lead to an epidemic of the uncanny valley.
(Thank you!)

You're welcome! That one was actually in my head recently, on account of thinking about Frau im Mond (1929).
Today I am very tired, but have nothing to do except capitalism. I would prefer to be writing about movies, but I need a sort of extra two days in the middle of this week or a lot more sleep.

Tom Lehrer has a claim to inventing the modern Jell-O shot!

Thank you! I passed it on the way to the second doctor.

I think it's an almond. There was one at the end of our old street. There are a couple of cherries around here that I found last year, but they aren't doing much yet.

The story of my life!
That's a beautiful tree, and I love that volcanoes blow smoke rings! <3 It's a fun party trick that Bilbo, Thorin and Gandalf (and Nick Charles) would approve of! XD
I hope you could get some rest!
