I could tell you what it feels like, but it's overdone
Today I spent most of the afternoon at the doctor's and emerged clutching an unexpectedly large paper bag of medications, because I don't have pneumonia, but I do have an acute sinus infection and purulent bronchitis, which sounds unnecessarily scary if you ask me.
spatch met me afterward and took me to Dakzen where he ordered me a five-alarm sour tamarind curry with whole shrimp and a fried egg. I really appreciated it. I feel that whatever plans I had for the rest of this weekend are not going to happen, unless they involve not moving.

That does seem more efficient. Thank you.

I couldn't remember the name, but internet research suggests it was southern Thai kaeng som. I hope it is available near you!

While the curry as treatment for the symptoms sounds (to my levels of chili tolerance) like kill or cure: if THAT doesn't clear those sinuses...

The meds appear to be flattening me almost as much as the illness! But I trust them more.

It had slightly that quality, but it was also delicious . . .
