I love my mother.

Last night, she is commenting on the difference between love and a crush—and up to this point, you must bear in mind, she has been speaking in strictly real-world terms, illustrated occasionally with anecdotes from her life in high school. And then: "But there's that obsessive quality to a crush. Because all you can see is the nymph. And then you move in with the nymph and she turns you into a tree."

Something must be done with this.

It is, and sadly I have never heard the original. I have a motley collection of Kate Bush that has determined me to purchase Lionheart and Never For Ever when I have the money (as I like all the songs I've heard from both those albums), but although I seem to have four songs from The Hounds of Love, none of them are the title track. I like the cover, though.

It's the sort of song that wants to be a story. Unfortunately, I do not have any of her other albums, so I cannot vouch for them. Just the one, which is one of my most requested for Perfectly Legal Backup Copies.
