Babe, you know your nemesis is posing as your best friend

My brother's dearest friend is back from Iraq. With all luck, he will not be deployed again and he will be able to finish his college career—from which the National Guard pulled him, a year and a half ago. Right now, we're just glad he's home. He is family; he is that kind of friend. And he will need to heal.

Sirenia Digest #7 has been delayed until later this week, which only means that all of you who have not yet picked up this beautiful publication have another chance to subscribe. Do so before midnight, and [livejournal.com profile] greygirlbeast has promised free cool stuff. You still have reservations? Sirenia Digest has been medically proven to improve the mind and elevate morality. Come on. Look at this face. Would she lie to you?

Oh, thank god for that. May he stay here.

Glad he's back. It's a good time not to be in Iraq, although I can't say that I thought any day of the year my brother was there was a good time, either.

My friend Helena Lewis just left last week for her SECOND tour in Iraq. The first time she went it was right when the war was starting (2003.)

Hello! I haven't read your work before, but I just read "Constellations, Conjunctions" in Caitlin's Sirenia Digest, and wanted to say that I very much enjoyed it. I'll definitely be picking up a copy of Singing Innocence and Experience as soon as possible.
