I had a hat when I came in and I'll have a hat when I go out

Remember how I left my hat with Salmagundi for repairs last month?

I got my hat back.

Looks like they did a great job!

They really did! They darned the hole in the front of the tweed, restitched a fraying seam at the back, replaced the broken reinforcement in the upper cloth, and now I have a lifetime guarantee for it! I am both very happy and very impressed.

That is amazing. It looks sharp, sharp as new.

You can see the darn if you're looking directly at it, but it's in all five colors of the original tweed. I was amazed.

That is the smile of a person who is underneath a fine hat and knows it.

I think I am fonder of this hat than I am ever have been of a hat in my life.
