I had a hat when I came in and I'll have a hat when I go out

Remember how I left my hat with Salmagundi for repairs last month?

I got my hat back.

HAT

I feel I look stupid in hats, but this may be a function of my only having tried like two styles of hats. I'm generally ignorant of millinery (?) so I have no idea what would look good on me. :p

Both my mother and I look weird in hats--she for head shape, she thinks. (My head is Too Big.) I wear a round, floppy one anyway, against the sun, but she sticks with a visor--which makes me wonder whether the current prevalence of those visors in Korea has to do with a bunch of people thinking their heads look strange in Western-style hats.

Yay hat! I am sure the hat is also happy to have a head. You are made for each other.

That is such a delightful photo. And a spiff hat!

Looks like they did a great job!

That is amazing. It looks sharp, sharp as new.

That is the smile of a person who is underneath a fine hat and knows it.

This is a much desired outcome. The smile is perfect. So is the hat.

Yay! People should always get their hats back. *nods experiencedly*

I have chased windblown hats across busy highways; I have chased down drunken hatnapping students; I have retrieved hats forgotten and left behind. I need a homing hat.

Good to see it again.

I am glad that your hat in back in good repair. It is clearly a special hat.

If the manufacturer is unique (and still in business), maybe the Salmagundi staff can identify them. Have you asked?

My husband has asked that I show you the propeller beanie (well, propeller baseball cap) he purchased at the Worldcon in 1991. It was one of the few that did not get blown into the Chicago River.
