This is a low-flying panic attack

I am delighted by Radiohead's new music video. For everyone who loved The Wicker Man (1973) but thought, "You know what this story really needs? More stop-motion children's animation."

You probably aren't getting quite the cognitive dissonance it gives to us Brits who grew up watching Trumpton!

Coincidentally I was listening to the violinist from The Wicker Man playing at the local May Festival just on Sunday. One or two details that might interest (such as unreleased scenes) mentioned on his site

I'm reliably(?) informed the intended analogy wasn't Trumpton, but another member of the Trumptonshire trilogy, Camberwick Green. Making this {drumroll}:

The Camberwicker Man

{Groan!}

Oh good, it wasn't just me who saw the still photos from the video and immediately thought of that movie.

HA! You found it first. But you understand why I had to tell you about it before checking if you already knew...

Camberwicker Green... a worth companion to the Muppet version from a few years ago.

That's better by far than the Nicolas Cage remake...

Oh, I read today that it was made just a mile from here!

It is oddly pleasing.

Heh, very effective.

That's wonderful! I like the very ending.
