I check your collar and you've got no name

It is too hot to think. I slept an hour and a half last night. The night before that I slept four hours and the night before that, three. I wish I were at the sea. I wish I were in the sea. I can't think of a single good thing about myself right now. I don't know how this month is going to end.

;_; I hope the heat breaks and you're able to get some rest. *hugs if okay*

Yeah, it heated up again here too -- nowhere near as bad as on the East Coast, but it's still going back up into the eighties. DO NOT WANT.

It rained a little here, but only a little. I have been trying to water my garden, and keep all the plants going. The other day, the neighbor's two kids saw me doing that, and brought out cups and pitchers and asked if they could help (they're five and very sweet). It is supposed to rain tomorrow, and I hope it will be enough to make a difference.

Today I went walking in the park for the first time in ages, because it made my heart sad to see where all the trees had come down. I walked along one of the places the heavy machinery had gone through the park, and where they'd since finished, and pulled back the timbers and the mulch that had granted the bulldozers and diggers access. And all along that stretch, there were all these tree stumps, and so many of them were sending up shoots of new growth from the root stock. They're still trying, and they'll find a way through and recover if they can.

On the way home, i found a unicorn beetle on the pathway, needing a little help to get flipped over and back to the cover of the undergrowth. They help break down fallen trees, so there' life and purpose even in the areas that can't recover.

I'm sorry it's bad right now. I hope it gets better. I am glad I know you, even when you're having a hard time. Here's a song for you and your dark sea feelings: June Tabor- Sudden Waves.

I wish I could give you a lighthouse on an island with seals. I hope you will dream one, and sleep well tonight.

If there's anything at all I can do to help you, just ask.

In the hopes that it will be soothing:

Wishing you a better night's sleep and some cooler weather.

The heat is supposed to crash into a thunderstorm tomorrow night through Friday, and then it'll be temperate for a while.

I'm here and wishing you well. Hugs are here for when you want them. I wish I could offer some more concrete assistance, but I haven't managed to find any useful leads.

I went to Revere Beach after work the other night, and I know it's a massively busy beach and a Boston cliche, but it was still refreshing to be there. And it gets very quiet after five p.m., for what it's worth.

Yeah, this. Let me know if you make last-minute beach plans at any point, and I will try to make it.

Apparently the Year is ending with significantly cooler temperatures? So that's something.
(What's "To a better year?")

I have no advice or comfort, but I offer my sympathies.
