And you read all your letters from oceans away, then you took them to the bottom of the sea
Rabbit, rabbit.
My poem "In Conclusion" has been nominated for the 2015 Dwarf Stars Award.
Last night I dreamed of reading a very short story with pen-and-ink illustrations in sand-gold and sea-green; it was an excerpt from a larger graphic novel about mermaids the size of reefs and atolls. Spells were ordinary words spoken backward. I knew even in the dream that I'd seen that conceit first in the work of Patricia McKillip, especially The Book of Atrix Wolfe (1995), but I liked the line "All magic is written in a mirror."
Happy birthday,
gaudior!

I have no doubt! I just read The Book of Atrix Wolfe at least five years before I encountered Zatara and Zatanna in Neil Gaiman's The Books of Magic (1993), so McKillip is my first association with the technique.
