The Lord increase you day by day, and send you more and more

Christmas Revels.* Sanders Theatre. "Lord of the Dance."

Yeah.

I need more sword dances in my life.

*Plus impromptu a cappella of "The Lowlands of Holland" in the middle of Harvard Yard, to Orion and the cold and shining winter stars.

Well, I can't dance all that well. But I have swords!
You could visit and . . . see swords! :)
(Also, bookstores . . . many many bookstores . . .)

Writing out-of-post, sorry, but a few posts ago, you talked about Wings of Desire and now I'm wanting to see it very badly. Wondering--is it good enough to buy? To own? The holiday chores have left us dead. I've a sister with MS, who can no longer read, and she needs movies that ignite her artistic energy or she gives up on life. This is the first review I've read in a long time that seems like it could entertain her demanding state of complexity. "Eternity is a closed system. Desire is of the world." That opened my world today.

Thanks, I'm not sure I'll find it at our local video store (maybe), but my sister is convinced she wants to see it, so between the two of us, the cost will be worth it. I read a bit about it and liked the idea of the black and white, then the insertion of color ... when? when the angels experienced something human, was it? when they came down? epiphanies? Anyway, I'm intrigued. Thanks.

May I recommend practically anything by Hayao Miyazaki, and the lovely movie "Spring & Chaos?" A company called Tokyopop puts that last one out on DVD.

Or if you are in the Boston area, I would be happy to loan you my copy.

How I'd love to live in Boston (I keep writing about it and have never been). Thanks for the recommendations--I like that title, "Spring & Chaos," and I'll look up Hayao Miyazaki. It'll be good to watch something that stays with me for more than an hour after it's finished.
