I don't have a choice, but I'd still choose you

Right now my brain wants to add the disclaimer "I'm sure I don't look like this anymore," but I am overriding it: here is another picture from Wednesday's Burns Supper. I like it.

Also by Roger Gordy. Apparently he takes my headshots now.

That disclaimer sounds an awful lot like tiny Wittgenstein.

It's a great photo.

What a lovely picture! (And a very accurate one, I think.)

The last set were too, for both of you. Kudos to Roger Gordy.

That's magnificent. And you.

You looked like that the last time I saw you, and you looked like that on Wednesday, so it seems very unlikely that you would have changed dramatically from Wednesday to now. Unless you got cosmetic surgery or something and didn't mention it.

It's a gorgeous photo, and captures you perfectly.

A wonderful photo.

I know a couple of days ago we were all saying you and Rob were made for black and white photography, but this has changed my mind -- you look great in colour, especially in front of that raw umber (?) background.

Brilliant shot, that.

As for tiny and obnoxious shoulder personages, I wish them a long stay in the belly of some suitable fish.

That's lovely.

Oh, what a beautiful, beautiful photo!

Author photo? I love it. Brown velvet becomes you.

Ah, swelling and such is only temporary. You'll be back to your usual self in no time. I hope kissing an ice pack helps in the meantime.

Ouch.
I /suspect/ at least that you (and your mouth) will get used to them. If anything except maybe your teeth is hurting by a week from now, call your orthodontist and yell at (him/her/them/gtst).*

*(Sorry, I'm having a week of real and fictional genderambiguous people; and am simultaneously determined to be polite about this and alarmed (though also amused) by the complexity this can entail.)

Wow. That is gorgeous.

I happen to like this one a lot.

Lovely.

You look so moved and thoughtful in these photos.

That's an excellent portrait. No matter how many pain, and hopefully smile lines you accumulate, nothing will mar the essential qualities that make your face so appealing.
