1. Bertie Owen aten't dead! My father took him apart and put him back together and he won't live forever, but then again, who does? The Apple store was no help. I dearly hope not to need any more technical-medical assistance for a while.

2. I aten't dead, either, but I am very tired. I think I have slept maybe four hours since Friday, not counting the exhausted dozes on the bus to and from Amherst. derspatchel's reunion was fun. He showed me around his hometown. We profited by a used record store and a place that sold crazy glazed donuts. I have a dollar pamphlet on Garden Lore of Ancient Athens published by the American School of Classical Studies at Athens in 1963. I also have an awful sore throat that meant I spent most of tonight's dinner writing notes to people when I wanted to talk about fandom and social behavior. It's not as cool.

Was still worth it.

3. Rabbit, rabbit. I am going to bed.

Any idea of when-ish that might happen?

Probably not for a couple of months, honestly, because we don't have a car (and the buses were hell), but you should absolutely meet us! I want more than a top-speed afternoon to get to know the Pioneer Valley.

Yeah, I remember taking that bus when we first moved here.

A few months is fine! I'll be away in August anyway :-)
