Oddly, I'm almost sorry I'm missing it. All the posts here and on FaceBook I'm reading from New England match up nicely with my fuzzy memories of the 1978 blizzard.
I suspect it may be worse in your part of the world than here in CT, but it's piling up something fierce outside. I dug out a space by the stoop for the dog round eleven pm--two and a half hours later it was completely covered over again.
I talked with a friend near Providence, RI round nine pm. She was seeing lightning, which was making the sky go blue and green. None of that here, just snow and wind. I almost wish I were there to see it with her, although it's just as well that my parents aren't trying to deal with all this by themselves.
