I am no longer in D.C. I am no longer even on a train, which is the really important part. This was a rather fraught weekend going in and there were some epic complications along the way (meaning their stories will be told and retold endlessly at all appropriate occasions), but the short form is that it turned out to be a good trip and I am very glad, for a number of reasons, that I went. Further bulletins as sleep warrants. There hasn't exactly been a lot of that these last few days.
cucumberseed's review of A Mayse-Bikhl is now online at Versification. That wasn't a bad thing to come home to, either.

It was a grey day here, and seemed to be one of those afternoons when everyone I had anything to do with was feeling very glum, which misled me into hearing your words in a tone which you weren't writing them in, if that makes any sense.
