I am no longer in D.C. I am no longer even on a train, which is the really important part. This was a rather fraught weekend going in and there were some epic complications along the way (meaning their stories will be told and retold endlessly at all appropriate occasions), but the short form is that it turned out to be a good trip and I am very glad, for a number of reasons, that I went. Further bulletins as sleep warrants. There hasn't exactly been a lot of that these last few days.

I was surprised how well the afternoon went; Rob said I made all the right choices about how to handle the situation. He's the outside observer, so I'm trusting him on this one. I guess I'm glad to know it can be done.
