Film did not happen, but it turns out you can get a Corpse Reviver at Cuchi Cuchi, also an Easy Virtue, a Brazilian Wax, an after-dinner absinthe, and some really astonishing blini, so I wouldn't call the evening a letdown.

Did the Corpse Reviver--er--resurrect up to expectations? Can you get an Easy Virtue with a Brazilian Wax? I see her was having bee-stung lips and a wicked spitcurl. A Preferred Blonde. (All our drinks are muddled.)

Did the Corpse Reviver--er--resurrect up to expectations?

It was delicious; an absinthe-based drink that didn't feel like being roundhoused with aniseed. It was surprisingly mellow. My only complain was that the maraschino cherry at the bottom didn't have a stem, because I have not been able to race derspatchel at tying knots.

Can you get an Easy Virtue with a Brazilian Wax?

The Easy Virtue was ginger brandy, soda water, muddled ginger, and some kind of rum; the Brazilian Wax was cachaça, lime juice, and mango purée. One was a cocktail and the other an after-dinner shot. The absinthe just felt like a good idea after the deconstructed bananas Foster.
