With your prey
M. John Harrison recommends A.S. Byatt's Ragnarok (2011), even if it isn't really a novel.
Someone whom I do not know, but of whom I approve, has organized the Big Gay Hamlet Ficathon. Go forth and deCard.

Oh, excellent! I've been hoping that Byatt would do justice to the myth.

Oh, thank goodness someone is saying this. Schafer's reasoning came across as rather thin to me...

Maybe I'll just fix* SSS&S and sell it. Maybe I'll sub it to that silly magazine he runs first.
*And by fix I mean buttsex.**
**Probably not, but Ruibe is getting a lover.

Excellent. I heartily approve, and wish I were better able to participate, but there aren't enough women* and any attempt on my part at writing male slash always comes out as too much of a parody to be worth anything.
*Gertrude/Ophelia? Too much like a female version of Card's paederastic King Hamlet/Horatio, that. And I don't think gender-flipping everyone so Hamletta and Horatia can have a massively anachronistic schoolgirl romance and maybe a complicated flirtation with the handsome Ophelion is exactly on, either.
