And many's the battle I have fought, though ankle-deep in blood

I’ve really stopped sleeping. Why the hell is Ice Cold in Alex (1958) not out on DVD in this country?

(It'll be out on Blu-Ray in the UK on the 13th, which does me no good whatsoever because Blu-Ray also has region codes.)

On top of everything else, I seem to have done something to my neck and shoulder; it's been making me nauseous all day. I would quite possibly kill for a good backrub right now. Or at least maim slightly.

I wish I could send a backrub over the internet.

Love you.

Sympathy. And bafflement (re Ice Cold in Alex).

It's easy enough to de regionify dvd players.

And I don't know about the States but region free ones are pretty inexpensive now

*hugs* Both N and I are handy with a back rub, though I hope it doesn't persist through then.

Also, I hope you're asleep right now.

Am I warping you with my Regency Top 40 Dance Party?

I'm sorry to hear the sleeplessness continues. I don't know how you're functioning. Sleep is so important. Is there any chance you can get prescribed massages for treatment? Or chiropractic treatments? I just wondered if massaging out the neck and shoulder pain might also help in the sleep area--just curing the nervous system in general?

I'm sure you've tried many things ... I just think insomnia is very hard to live with and hope you find some solution for it.

I very much hope that the need is not still there by then, but in the event that it is, come Readercon I would be on for providing a backrub, at which numerous people seem to feel I am pretty good.

I hope you've slept some sneak in there, somewhere.

You know, I think I'm going to just keep that spoonerism - I did not sleep last night either. Empathy is not a backrub. I hope you can find one or two of those, soon, too. In the meantime, have some internet hugs, in hopes they help a little.

Damn. I feared your quietude meant pain.

Hoping for rest and recovery.

Nine

I wish you well.

Feel free to hit me up for neck and head rubs the next time we are in the same locale. Sadly for your sleeplessness and pain, I am currently on the other side of the country, where I cannot sing you Yiddish lullabies or read you bedtime stories.

*sends you a big box full of soothing naps in the short term*

I'm so sorry. I wish there were something more useful I could say or do, but all I can say is that I hope you're feeling better soon.

And alas, although I do, naturally, have a list of persons deserving at least slight maiming, I'm not in any position to offer you a backrub in exchange for your dealing with any of said individuals. If only I had a friend in your vicinity who owed me a backrub. Perhaps we could come to some arrangement, if such were the case.
