My poem "Muse" has won second place in the 2008 Dwarf Stars Award.

First place, Greg Beatty's "Place Mat by Moebius." It is a haiku and terrific.

Third place, Ann K. Schwader's "Dancing to Van Gogh."

Go and congratulate them! My year sucks a little less!

I just read "The Gambler" and "Muse" to my sister. She said she could only sit open-mouthed. That you are brilliant. That if she met you or heard you, she wouldn't be able to say a word, but just sit in awe.

I always feel the same, but I assured her that you are open and friendly and generous as can be. Thank you for that.
