so you have the golden and crimson colors of fall, but the warm, soft days of late August--Indian summer. Do they tell you this as if it's nature's special gift to you, as if it, somehow, is in honor of you?

No, because I have always liked the cold turning of this time of year, but I think it is lovely that yours do!
