Do your parents tell you that the weather is often beautiful at this time of year--that although the leaves are turning and there have been frosty mornings, at just the days surrounding your birth, there's a break in the chill, so you have the golden and crimson colors of fall, but the warm, soft days of late August--Indian summer.
