Today can be summarized entirely by the fact that I attempted to leave the house this afternoon to run some errands including for my parents and not only had the battery in the car died sometime within the last forty-eight hours, it turns out to be just a young enough car that the death of said battery left it exactly one manual rather than electronic point of entry which in the absence of working—to my immense frustration, since the entire point of having a key is that it turns in a lock—rendered it impervious to jumpstarting until AAA arrived and jimmied the window so that I could get into the car and pop the hood to hook up the jumper cables, after which it was too late for me to run most of my errands even though I needed to drive the car for an hour to make sure it didn't just sputter out again. I have a consolation book from my parents, Marilyn Ann Moss' Raoul Walsh: The True Adventures of Hollywood's Legendary Director (2011). Anything else that was supposed to happen this afternoon or evening did not.
