The characters we used to play are walking off the stage

Having not done anything with music since last month's meme, I thought I would post some of the songs that have been coming around on repeat lately. Themes may be inevitable, styles and attitudes vary, and I find all of them catchy.

I get to Zoom-converse with my godchild this evening, which is neat. Previously, they have mostly confined themselves to sticking their head into the field of vision of selkie's phone and hollering, "Stabby horse!"

In fact, the Zoom conversation with my godchild was the best part of today. They told me about Julie and the Phantoms (2020) and we talked a little about Steven Universe (2013–19) and Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005–08) and also about some things that aren't TV shows, like remote learning and names. At one point I had occasion to remark to selkie, "That was like being go-go danced at by a preadolescent demon." They are a good kid and I like them. They told me I didn't really need to smile for the screenshot and then they cracked up.
