This weekend. A lot of stress. Which is why on Saturday I booked an hour in the Japanese wooden hot tub at Inman Oasis for myself and [livejournal.com profile] derspatchel, which we bracketed with dinner at the Friendly Toast and a successful look in at Lorem Ipsum ([livejournal.com profile] rushthatspeaks THE CLERK SOLD ME THE IAIN SINCLAIR POETRY ANTHOLOGY FOR LESS THAN HALF THE STICKER PRICE THAT SORT OF THING NEVER HAPPENS EXCEPT I GUESS WITH IAIN SINCLAIR), and last night we watched another double feature of misunderstood film with Titan A.E. (2000) and Mystery Men (1999).

I don't see the stress letting up any time soon, but it would be nice. A lot of things are fun to do even when they aren't coping mechanisms.

Second-try signal boost. My housemate [livejournal.com profile] adrian_turtle needs someone to take over my half of the lease and living space from September to March. We're the second floor of a triple-decker in Winter Hill, an equidistant twenty minutes from either Davis or Sullivan Squares if you like walking and about five minutes from half a dozen buses in both directions if you don't. (It's about ten minutes further to walk to Lechmere, but that's what the route 80 is for.) The place is legitimately huge, with common space consisting of a living room, kitchen, and sunroom currently being used as a combination office; Adrian's is the bedroom at the front of the house, incoming tenant gets the side bedroom (which I am currently using to store my multiple thousands of books) and the study-sized room at the back of the house (which I am currently using as a bedroom, because I didn't necessarily think this through). Laundry is in the non-flooding basement and it's free. Rent is $900 plus utilities. Adrian has further details here.

Please reblog. This apartment doesn't suck. I know that sounds like faint praise damnation, but [livejournal.com profile] derspatchel and I have been looking for somewhere to live together since July 15th and you'd be amazed.
