My brother is a small god of gift-giving. After what seems to have been an epic misadventure of online ordering, his birthday present to me arrived yesterday, just in time for the holidays: a Stiff Kitten T-shirt.
( Because nothing says Christmas like a zombie kitty. )
In other news, the people with whom I went to elementary school? I need to see on a more frequent basis than once every fourteen years, because they are wonderful. At least if we're from different planets, we're all not from this one. And I like the other planets on which they live.
It's as damp and windy as spring outside. Mist is blowing up the street in drifts; all the soft snow has melted back down to a glassy core of ice and the clouds are so racing overhead that the moon and its halo-ghost of a rainbow seem about to roll off onto the horizon. There's one star that keeps pace, a little ahead of its light. I think this season swapped hemispheres on us without warning. That's the sun coming back for you.
