I wonder if I should have bad days more often. The karmic reimbursement they demand seems to go straight toward my writing.
My poem "An Eclipse of Raven," originally published in Dreams and Nightmares #68, has also been nominated for the 2005 Rhysling Award (short poem category). This is yet another of the poems that comes out of my obsessions with trickster figures and liminality, and one of the few in which some actual element of science (in this case, astronomy) may be discerned. Given that SFPA technically stands for Science Fiction Poetry Association, I feel a little less like some kind of mythic imposter.
