Leaves blown backward in a vanished book, untelling winter
I did not sleep last night. This is due to headache, not inspiration, and is therefore unwelcome.
This is what is welcome:
erzebet's newest Synthesis 2, which contains the text of my poem "The Gambler." Go; marvel. Sometimes I only dream my words look like that.

This is what is welcome:

I am racked with sympathy for your sleepless state.

The two of you should collaborate. Your work is not devoid of bone-rooted landscapes and leaflit dreams.
I am racked with sympathy for your sleepless state.
Only so long as it does not become contagious! I will not sleep better if your head explodes.

She creates art that looks the way ballads sound.

Very sorry to hear about your sleeplessness. I had trouble sleeping as well last night.
I hope your head feels better soon.

Thank you. Though I don't know how much credit I can take . . .

It's like any other skill—because I possess it, I assume that it is less valuable than the arts I do not have. I work on believing differently. Thank you; I do mean it.

You should certainly take some. The work strikes me as very much a collaboration, just as a setting of a poem as song lyrics doesn't minimise the poet's contribution, if that makes any sense.
Imagine what the piece would be like if the visual aspects were just the same, but the text were: "There are fairies at the bottom of our garden/They often like to dance on summer nights..." ;-)

Headache sleeplessness is the worst kind of sleeplessness. May tonight bring you pain-free rest.
And what a beautiful piece of art.

Thank you. I hope likewise you are headache-free. Has the ear infection at least cleared?
And what a beautiful piece of art.

So glad your work gets to be presented this way; it's how your work feels, so textured and rich.

It never hurts . . .

Thank you! It amazes me.

I slept almost until noon today. It was a huge improvement.
