Leaves blown backward in a vanished book, untelling winter

I did not sleep last night. This is due to headache, not inspiration, and is therefore unwelcome.

This is what is welcome: [livejournal.com profile] erzebet's newest Synthesis 2, which contains the text of my poem "The Gambler." Go; marvel. Sometimes I only dream my words look like that.

Oh, gorgeous! She does great things with ink and coffee; you do great things with ink.

I am racked with sympathy for your sleepless state.

Nine

That's a lovely piece. Well done, the both of you.

Very sorry to hear about your sleeplessness. I had trouble sleeping as well last night.

I hope your head feels better soon.

Headache sleeplessness is the worst kind of sleeplessness. May tonight bring you pain-free rest.

And what a beautiful piece of art.

I love this, the art and your poem, and I am so tempted to e-mail Erzebet about the cost, but I know I can't do it, not right now. Still ... I might have to ask.

So glad your work gets to be presented this way; it's how your work feels, so textured and rich.

That is amazing and gorgeous.

You should. It's such a perfect incarnation of what your own work is.

Though I don't know how much credit I can take . . .

You should certainly take some. The work strikes me as very much a collaboration, just as a setting of a poem as song lyrics doesn't minimise the poet's contribution, if that makes any sense.

Imagine what the piece would be like if the visual aspects were just the same, but the text were: "There are fairies at the bottom of our garden/They often like to dance on summer nights..." ;-)
