Was the foreign body a piece of plastic? That's what I once had to have removed from my eye...

I asked if my body could have produced it and the ophthalmologist reassuringly did not think so, but we have no idea how it got into my eye. It was the color of a tooth and about the size of a solid grain of beach sand. A very weird thing to see on the end of a medical swab.
