And last night I dreamed of reading a collection of short stories from the next universe over where Rudyard Kipling was an Anglophile rakshasa. If my subconscious was trying to say something about cultural appropriation, I think it missed the boat.

I suppose Rakshasas wouldn't be that interested in nationalism, especially not over exploitation and cruel bastardry. Given what little I know of the history of India as a British colony, I suppose they might be Anglophiles.

Still, Kipling as a rakshasa. That's going to stick with me.
