It feels frankly unfair that I should have a viral sore throat on top of a sinus infection, yet here we are. My day has been somewhat rearranged.

JewBelong has put up a new billboard in Porter Square. I thought they had lost the plot the very first time I encountered them, but lo and behold, this slogan is worse. I got home and played several rounds of "Daloy Politsey."

Conversation last night touching on newts reminded me that I remain slightly sorry that Gussie Fink-Nottle and Madeline Bassett never worked out in the long run, because I consider it comedy platinum to ship the nerdiest man in interwar England with a woman who explains all natural phenomena by fairies sneezing.

I believe this apprehensive person to be a junction box, and even if not, their expression is intensely relatable.

Ooh, they could've co-written a series of illustrated children's book explaining the natural history of newts and other amphibians, with attendant fairies that are metaphorical if you're Gussie and literal if you're Madeleine.

It would have been a classic! (I can't believe Ursula Vernon has never drawn any newt fairies that the internet will show me.)
