May I leave you this laugh on my stone epitaph?

Rabbit, rabbit! November is upon us. I appreciate the Criterion Channel encouraging me with Queersighted: Queer Noir, though I must express my slight disappointment in any collection of same which does not include Johnny Eager (1942). I will console myself by re-rewatching Desert Fury (1947). I may even get that chance to yell at a dry stone wall in the Pioneer Valley.

And eventually I will remember the other character this conversation is reminding me of, but also shows up with the vibes.

I hope you do!

I've never seen that one! I see it suffers from Reed Hadley, but I'll grit my teeth.

I didn't want to mention its unfortunate voiceover, because it would be a hard sell! XD It's really annoying and preachy, but at least the movie is less tragic than T-men, and Hayward and O'Keefe are delightful together, so it's still worth watching. (I can't remember it 100% accurately, but there's a scene in a hotel room with a twin bed set-up, a little bit like in The Big Combo, and O'Keefe asks Hayward if he snores. So many vibes.)
