You said if we ever married, I would be the man

Almost exactly a year after the first time it to my very displeased surprise happened, I got stuck in the radial nerve of my left arm during another blood draw and now my left hand is once again filled with pins and needles until further notice. I protest the idea that it should be an annual occurrence. Sleep didn't even happen first. I am feeling very nonexistent. Have some links.

1. This article about Anndy Pershing turned up when I was trying to find an official link for the Wild Bill Elliott Westerns—in vain, since thanks to the cartoon villainy of David Zaslav most of the Warner Archive no longer seems to exist as such—and while I don't think I have actually ever seen the horse in question, reading it did make me want to excavate my copy of Marguerite Henry's Justin Morgan Had a Horse (1945).

2. It's not that I can't parse the slightly antique sense of the English, but I need someone like Eliza Carthy or Fay Hield or Kate Rusby to record Jake Xerxes Fussell's "Breast of Glass," because a verse that runs Don't you remember, Molly? You gave me your right hand. You said if we ever married, I would be the man is crying out for no heterosexual explanation, especially in a song where the seafaring of "Handsome Molly" is fused with the heart-written secret of "Blackest Crow." Back me up here, [personal profile] selkie.

P.S. In the back pocket of a pair of pants he hadn't worn in years, [personal profile] spatch found our household's other mermaid talisman, I believe originally from [personal profile] ladymondegreen. He gave it to me tonight to look after me.

Getting stuck in a nerve not once, but twice strikes me as decidedly unfair. Sympathies, it's irritating enough having just the tip of a finger tingling.

Don't you remember, Molly? You gave me your right hand.

Potential for a zombie version, too?

Mine was initially two full fingers a couple of years ago, there's been consistent if very gradual improvement over that time, so not time to give up on things yet.

Thanks. One point I forgot to make is that as it's 99% likely to be C-spine related, that's improvement in spite of the likelihood I'm re-aggravating it regularly.
