And some urban trees were out there and consequently it smelled like heaven
The Bradford pears are in full bloom and I would say the neighborhood smells like an Innsmouth orgy if that wouldn't make it sound too appealing. In compensation, I found a cherry tree on Adams Street and a wall of wandering moss on North. Have a picture of Hestia last night, yawning. I sent it to
spatch entitled "KAIJU BREACH."

Aw! Anybody who wants to use that icon should take it and credit you. I love—
(My condolences about the Bradford pears)
I find them very beautiful to look at, they are almost certainly a contributor to my current vision problems (news flash: not being able to get hold of the necessary medication when the specialist wanted me on it, my eyes worsened!), the smell is astonishing. I assume it attracts the right pollinators and everybody else says "no thanks."

Every time I remember that Janie has her sexual awakening under a Bradford Pear in Their Eyes Were Watching God, I cannot understand what prompted that decision. Lol

Thank you! My apologies!

Oh, my God, what, no.

I recently saw "instructions" for pruning a Bradford pear -- one complete horizontal cut as low down on the trunk as possible.

Also: "Roadrunner" is an excellent earworm! Thank you! :D

Our interdimensional kitten.
Also: "Roadrunner" is an excellent earworm! Thank you!
You're welcome! It entered my head while I was walking around and so of course I had to come home and play it.
Apropos of nothing except music, I located Blues in the Night (1941) on the Internet Archive and will be watching it this evening as I lie around with warm compresses on one eye at a time.

It earwormed me the second I read your subject line and knocked my previous earworm off my brain, which just goes to show how powerful it is! <3 I also had to play it immediately!
I hope that your eyes improve and you enjoy "Blues in the Night"--a musical noir (or is that a noir musical?) with Lloyd Nolan really is an excellent choice of medication! Hugs to you and your interdimensional kitten! <3

I have passed on this compliment to Hestia!

Evil trees sound like a thing S&S should deal with.
And that is a yawn there, indeed; possibly also a cat.

Okay, that's funny.
and I see that they apparently smell. I'm glad elsewhere round the neighbourhood can offer up better things, but that doesn't sound like fun even if they weren't maybe also bothering your eyes
Thank you! It is definitely a part of the season, but, I mean, smog used to be, too.

She leaves it behind her when she goes.

When you wake up and find all the trees are now non-evil types, you'll know who to thank. Not that they'll want thanking. :-)

Aww, yawning kitty!!

It's memorable! I had no idea for years what caused the characteristic smell of tree-planted Boston spring and I still find it hilarious, although I am probably allergic to it.
Aww, yawning kitty!!
She is most beautiful and we tell her so. Especially when she is doing her best interdimensional abyss.
