Trees before trees. Why is a very ancient sign so productive of joy? But it is. Now I will blissfully imagine Somerset covered in low twiggy fern umbrellas, transforming the landscape as they grew.

I think it is because deep time itself is a joy, which is what we're all doing wading through it.
Now I will blissfully imagine Somerset covered in low twiggy fern umbrellas, transforming the landscape as they grew.
