Realistically I understand that the glitches of Watch TCM have much more to do with the indifference of David Zaslav than the inconvenience to me, but it is frustrating that it really seems to go on the blink when I have been waiting to watch something off it, in this case almost all of the movies that aired last night in centenary honor of Gloria Grahame.

On the pleasanter side of the evening, we made a lamb and lentil stew for dinner and are mulling cider for dessert. Now if my back would just stop hurting and I could get some sleep.

It's so hard to pick a favourite song but his version of Waltzing Matilda is just so heartbreaking.

I listened to "Turkish Song of the Damned," because its sea-haunting worked its way into my writing, but around this time of year spatch and I usually start singing along to "Fairytale of New York" no matter what.
