On the other hand, the majority of my DVDs are now unpacked into and onto the same quartet of milk crates, which is much more fun than boxes. (Excavations are still ongoing.)

They are vintage milk crates! My mother sidewalk-looted them in New York in the 1960's. There used to be a dozen, but the collection was whittled down over the years. My father repainted them recently.

They are wooden and oil-painted. I had them in my apartment in New Haven, where they looked more battered.
