Please blame the current lack of content on rushthatspeaks, who lent me the first three volumes of Saiyūki last night. I am at the moment on Volume 7. I will surface presently.

I need an icon of Cho Hakkai.

I love Hakkai, but I do find his back story a little disturbing. (I have two friends who are rabid fans.) I do like the Monkey Goes West sort of basis... I think my favorite characters are the Goddess of Mercy & Gojyo. However, I do no like the anime...I usually seem to be alone in this assessment. Love the manga though.

It involves mass murder: I imagine it's not meant to be comfortable. It changes how you feel about him as a character?

Kanzeon Bosatsu is awesome. I love that whenever she shows up in person, she's entirely aware that she's the deus ex machina and it amuses her.
