I don't even believe I can replace it after all this time. Tell me something nice.

If the pin doesn't return, it probably means that it took a hit for you. I've had blue beads on protective amulets break spontaneously when shit has been flying. I hope it does return, but perhaps you can take some heart it the possibility, if it does not, that it was for a good reason.
